The Core Fulfilment System
Quadrant Subscription Services is one of the UK's premier publishing services bureaux, whose parent company is Reed Business Information - RBI, part of the Reed Elsevier. Since 1972 we have handled the subscription fulfilment and associated services for both free and paid for magazines and journals. We provide the same service for books, newsletters, digital and online products.
We employ over 200 staff at our offices in West Sussex covering all fulfilment and circulation management for paid and controlled circulation subscribers. We provide 24-hour live system availability in our own and our client’s customer service offices across 3 continents.
Currently we manage over 200 titles, which equates to approximately 3 million live customer records across the arenas of business, consumer, professional and science publishing.
A single database incorporates paid and controlled circulation subscriptions, in addition to reader enquiry and one-off product sales. Unlimited demographic data can be captured. Our Customer Service and order entry platform – eCustomerView – offers a customer centric single view with real time interface to our back office fulfilment systems, allowing customer details to be refreshed and uploaded instantly at point of contact to our UK and international Customer Service centres.
Our systems operate with full, separate site and disaster recovery. Full multi-currency processing, with secure processing through PCI compliant payment processing vendors in both Europe and America, is available with full international tax compatibility including EU VAT, intrastat reporting and US Sales Tax. Each client's data is held on their own database that is automatically cleaned against TPS, CTPS and MPS lists. The system automatically builds substantial history detailing payment, correspondence, issue label and record amendment histories.
As highlighted, our systems are available worldwide with either our agents or our clients accessing their own databases globally. A comprehensive reporting suite is available to our worldwide client-base locally in any country via our electronic 'reports on screen' system. Linked to our fulfilment database is our business objects interrogation tool called Set Analyser.
This operates on an Oracle-based data warehouse that is refreshed daily from the fulfilment system. This is a user-friendly, Windows-based, instant data, segmentation tool that allows our clients access from their PCs where they can drill down through their data. Within our operation we have an expanding web-development team working to broaden online marketing services from outbound email to inbound promotional web pages. This is all automatically uploaded to our fulfilment systems. We process web-based subscription orders, single, multiple, shopping basket, gifts and renewals using all payment methods, as well as controlled circulation applications and re-verifications.
Our online systems provide for web customer self-service, where subscribers can view and change subscriber details. All changes are validated prior to an automated upload to the main fulfillment database.
